charpat() for basic (non extended)?

maybe i am just imagining it, but i could almost swear one of the articles in some ti zine/mag i read a while back was talking about getting the same effect of charpat in ti basic, no xb needed...

or am i not thinking correctly?

Editor/Assembler and Mini Memory both provided the CHARPAT subprogram to TI BASIC. Without either of those, I don't think there's a way to get the same functionality.

Yea EA Basic Support had a CALL CHARPAT(char#,return string variable) i.e. CALL CHARPAT(65,X$)

 

 

I did put out a EA Basic Support that could be loaded into GRAMs of TI Basic using the extra 2K in each of the GROMs

there from >1800 to >1FFF and >4800 to >5FFF

 

It should still be posted on Atari Age.
