CatPix #3 Posted July 10, 2017 (edited) The case is familiar to me. ITMC was an importer, not a maker. I believe that ITMC mostly dealed with Epoch. Tho I can't find any LCD calendar made by Epoch, but I looked very quickly. Might be very obscure and short-lived. If not just made up Edited July 10, 2017 by CatPix
bradhig1 #4 Posted July 10, 2017 Threads is a movie about Nuclear War similar to The Day After 1983. The kid that owns that game dies during the attack and his father is seen playing the game afterward which somehow survived an EMP attack prior to the main attack. Jess Ragan #5 Posted July 10, 2017 Looks a lot like this, the GameBox Penta. It looks like you collect turds while avoiding monsters for some reason?
Tanooki #6 Posted July 10, 2017 The Japanese were seeing into the future with that one. You're right they are turds. They picked up on modern lingo calling item now not 'my stuff' but 'my shit' and you make sure none of those monsters steal your shit.
Flojomojo #7 Posted July 10, 2017 Ahh, there was a time when I thought Epoch-Man (which this resembles) was something neat. You can't go home again.
zzip #8 Posted July 10, 2017 http://www.tepg.se/threads-1984/ Anyone know what this handheld is called? It looks like it has a calendar function in it. Is it a game or a personal organizer? Before smartphones and PDAs, there used to be electronic organizers on the market
Flojomojo #9 Posted July 10, 2017 The old LCD handhelds had alarm clocks built in. I doubt it holds any personal information, since there wasn't cheap storage back then. OMG there were a lot of Epoch handhelds. http://www.handheldmuseum.com/Epoch/index.html The clamshell design is nice.
CatPix #10 Posted July 10, 2017 Yeah. I am always amazed that they bothered to translate the printing on the case for so many of them for the French market. But knowing that, you understand why Epoch made the French Yeno (new nameplace for ITMC) Super Cassette Vision. I guess they were a big customer.
