Music Skidder #1 Posted July 12, 2017 Hello! Is there any insight to making the stock keyboards more responsive and touch friendly? Ideas for retrofitting new springs and such?
+DarkLord #2 Posted July 14, 2017 On the STacy? Hmm, I always thought that it, along with the original Mega ST's keyboard, were the best ones...
+slx #3 Posted July 21, 2017 Doesn't Best electronics offer some tweaks for the keyboard?
+DarkLord #4 Posted July 22, 2017 They offer the "TT Touch" upgrade for a standard ST keyboard. I've installed them, they are pretty nice. Not bad at all for under $30.00, IMHO.
KLund1 #5 Posted September 5, 2017 Has anyone tried the "MEGA TOUCH" spring upgrade? They are are 1/2" diameter by 1/2" long springs that go just under the key caps I just put one under a STf keycap and it feels good. What would a Best and Mega Touch be like? A real keyboard, too stiff? I have Best on my Falcon and it still seems just a couple feather to soft, at least for me. It could just be that ST/Falcon keyscaps are a bit shorter then 'standard' PC keyboards.
+DarkLord #6 Posted September 5, 2017 I've never tried those - always went with the "TT Touch" version. I'd be curious to set 2 keyboards side by side, one with each of these upgrades, for comparison. Of course, many times "feel" is subjective, dependent upon the user...
