Who is reading Intellivision Programming right now?

Quick question on the code - why don't you need "debounce" for the control?

Thanks.

Well, this squirrel is really on a trip.

It runs as fast as it can and you should jump to avoid rocks.

If you endure enough, you'll see his girlfriend :)

P.S: No sound... yet... ;)

Debouncing isn't needed for joystick control or keypad control (if you are using it in game)

It's a word used to describe the effect of pushing a key and getting multiple repeats on screen, so typically debouncing is only used in static screens.

This is commonly handled in IntyBASIC games using this:

WHILE cont.key = 12:WAIT:WEND ' Wait till key is pressed

key = cont.key ' take note

WHILE cont.key <> 12:WAIT:WEND ' Wait till key is depressed

I recently moved to a new country so have bee absent, but am now back to reading this on a daily basis to see what new is up.

Welcome back!

I also was away for several months due to having lost my computer to an electrical storm. I just recently got a replacement, so I am now back and active.

However, I typically provide ideas, suggestions, feedback, and some general technical advice; but cannot help directly on IntyBASIC matters, since I do not use it myself. Now, if anybody have a programming question related to Assembly Language, I may be of assistance. :)
