best "one-Sided" demos?

Want to grab a few demos to run off my SD device, any suggestions?

There's not going to be many that'll work; the majority of good multi-file demos use custom loader code which gets pushed to the disk drive's memory for it's CPU to execute and that functionality isn't emulated by the SD2IEC. You also appear to be in NTSC land and all the exceptional demos are written by people running PAL C64s.

 

Off the top of my head, Dawnfall will work PAL/NTSC and is a onefiler plus i might as well plug A Lil Bit OF by Carcass since i coded two of the three parts. =-)

Aren't there any demos implementing pure Dreamload which the SD2IEC might recognize and handle, or do nearly all of them implement their own versions for maximum performance?

Well, i can't vouch either way without extensive testing but performance is usually the primary concern with demo coders so i'd assume that it's a fair bet that most instances are going for speed over compatibility.
