Nukey Shay #4 Posted May 19, 2003 Only if you collect. As a computer/gaming platform, there is not a lot going for it. The undersized "chicklet" keys will give you early arthritis, and it offered no graphics capabilities or sprites. Sounds were limited to beeps, since it only have one channel. No controllers either, not that you'd be writing anything resembling an arcade game on it...since it sported (less?) available memory than the Vic20. I think that an expansion was released to correct some of these shortcomings, but it was too little/too late...you'll have a hard time tracking down software. AtariDude #7 Posted May 20, 2003 Is this machine worth buying??? I saw it for 3 dollars! I need an opinion! Was that the one that was at the Goodwill store on 108th Avenue and SW 24th street? I saw that one too. I thought about buying it since I used to have a family friend who died a few years ago who used to own a Aquarius. I decided not to buy it because it did not come with any cables for me to test it to see it was working.

AtariDude #10 Posted May 20, 2003 That had it next to the TVs - used computer monitors section. I did not see a power supply for it. It was just the small keyboard and that was it.
Tempest #11 Posted May 20, 2003 I'd say it's worth buying for $3, but be aware that the system itself sucks. It has no real graphics capability and has a very limited built in graphics set. The graphics are reminiscent of very early computers, but done entirely in character set graphics. The games are non-existant (I think there are only 7) and all of those are available on the Intellivision (except for Biorhythm, but who cares?). This is definitely a collector only system. AtariDude #12 Posted May 28, 2003 Oh well. It seems that someone beat us to it. I hope they enjoy the system.
