Disk images with protection

Are there any formats used by ST emulators that support this kind of image, that is a dump of an original (protected) game disk rather than the cracked/packed version on a menu disk?

 

I recall reading somewhere about a PC (or maybe Amiga) program that could produce an image using 2 disk drives, one for reading and the other for timing, whoever I can remember the name or find it whilst searching the web
