bradhig1 #1 Posted July 31, 2017 (edited) Found this at VIntage Stock today for 19.99. They are more expensive on Ebay. Wasn't this a rebrand of another mattel electronic game? Edited July 31, 2017 by bradhig1
Gabriel #2 Posted July 31, 2017 Yeah, I seem to recall a game that looked exactly the same minus the battlestar and the logo. Handheldmuseum.com says it was previously branded as Missile Attack. I really wanted one of those back in the day.
bradhig1 #3 Posted July 31, 2017 The botom of the left number is not working and sometimes I have to press down little on the power switch to make it work. It has weird screws on the back. Is there a way to open it? I also have a mattel football 2 with no sound and it has the same kind of screws.

Mine still fully functional having bought brand new back in the day; my very first handheld and "video" game! I had the opportunity to buy Missile Attack version back then, settled for the Battlestar version due to Star Wars influence. The piezo speaker an easy repair, go to the OP in the links below for index to other handhelds. Do a search for triangle bit set or triangle screwdriver set Such as this: https://www.amazon.com/Silverhill-Tools-ATKTR4-Triangle-Screwdriver/dp/B004IUEHYS I've no clue what size is on the game. Mine still works, so I've not needed to take it apart.
Video #8 Posted August 1, 2017 Cool, is it completely electronic or partially mechanical?

chuckwalla #10 Posted August 2, 2017 You will see some Mattel Missile Attack handhelds on ebay from time to time. I got Space Alert as a birthday present back in the day but it was a grossly overhyped and basically boring game - Auto Race was much more fun to play. Nevertheless, I bought Space Alert unit in mint condition back a decade ago to keep for nostalgia purposes.
Turbo-Torch #11 Posted August 3, 2017 I still have my Battlestar Galactica I bought new. I couldn't put that game down back in the day; easily my all time favorite handheld. Funny how it was a budget priced game back then and now they sell for a decent chunk of change.
