hidden game in auto racing?

Gamefaqs Auto Racing cheats page says to hold 4,7,8,9,0 at tittle screen and press lower left button for a hidden game. I tried holding those buttons and pushing the lower left fire button but no hidden game. Is this a fake code?

That same code is listed over at Digital Press. If i remember right it ended up being fake

The 7 and 0 both add redundant signals so it sounds made up. There would have been no room in a 4K cartridge to have a hidden game. If INTV later used 8K roms in those white label cartridges its possible, but it still sounds made up. Also, with any of those kludges you have to press reset while holding the buttons/disc.

I was so happy when I stumbled upon that: this one exact spot where you can cruise forever around the "world".

 

What was really strange was seeing the isolated sections of track that are not part of any course. I love games where you can sneak beyond the established borders.

You need to apply reverse lock as soon as you start to loose grip and spin. Perhaps the designer had some experience driving with rally cars.

What I mean is to steer on the opposite direction that you going in when you start to lose it to straighten up the car on the track.

There are two rom variations with completely different steering methods. One is much more common than the other and the above test will determine which you have. Side button continue means the newer realistic, right/left steering. http://www.intvfunhouse.com/games/auto.php#roms
