ApolloBoy #1 Posted May 20, 2003 I just played Quadrun on z26, and it's pretty good! Since it's so rare, I've decided to make a repro of it. It's easy right? I mean, all I have to do is get a common cart like Combat or Pac-Man, take out the guts, peel off the labels, burn an EPROM, put it on a new PCB, put it in the cart shell, then print the labels out, right? BTW, what kind of paper do I need to make a Quadrun label?
CPUWIZ #2 Posted May 20, 2003 No, that doesn't work, you need a 8K bankswitched PCB do do it. The silver label can not be reproduced but you could print it on photo paper. Easiest way is to have someone else make it for you. *cough*
mark #3 Posted May 20, 2003 i don't think thats a good idea. Once 1 person does it and finds it works then people will follow then they'll get into the marketplace and hurt the real quadrun prices
CPUWIZ #4 Posted May 20, 2003 LOL, Quadrun repros have been around for over 5 years, Hozer sold plenty of them.

ApolloBoy #12 Posted May 20, 2003 No, that doesn't work, you need a 8K bankswitched PCB do do it. Then, how do I put the ROM on a bankswitched PCB? Or, how do I get a bankswitched PCB?

AtariDude #16 Posted May 20, 2003 That is a very nicely done Repo Cpuwiz. If I did not know what a real Quadrun looked like, I could see how someone could try to fool someone into thinking that this is the rare cartridge and try to extort money. By the way, what does it cost to create a repo cartridge?
