Need source of 8-bit cart shells

Recommended Posts

I need some Atari 8-bit cartridge shells for an upcoming project. Does anyone know who's produced new shells and still has them available? Preferably the shells would work with standard Atari-shaped PCBs.

Thanks!

Will you take original Atari shells? I've got a stack here that I've been meaning to ask you about.

Yes, I love the original Atari shells. :)

Great! I'll send you a PM as soon as I can collect them.

Excellent, I'll keep my eyes open for it. :)

Thanks!

Anyone else have any Atari 8-bit shells?

Dumb question - are these shells all equal to the 'left cartridge Star Raiders' size or something different? Just curious

Best Electronics & B&C computer-vision used to sell these Atari XE or 800 Brown shells, but they are low on stock so they removed it from their site...

i am not aware of any other source,,, the only option today is for someone to 3d print them.

it would be nice if some one would produce them, maybe through a kickstarter project?.. so pepole like Lutharek, Santosp and the rest can use them for their projects as well..

Where does AtariMax get their shells? Do they 3D print them? I recall that difficulty in locating a consistent source for new shells is what put the breaks on futher production runs of "TheCart!" a few years back.
