DEBRO #1 Posted May 21, 2003 I know, I know, why not use a cross assembler like DASM? I'm typing in some old programs for the 8-bit for 8-bit disk images. Does anyone know where I can find documentation on the Assembler Editor? Or... what's the command to save the file? is there auto numbering?

+Sauron #4 Posted May 21, 2003 I guess they don't have the actual Assembler Editor docs scanned? I'll have to scan them myself and submit them...
+Allan #5 Posted May 21, 2003 I guess they don't have the actual Assembler Editor docs scanned? I'll have to scan them myself and submit them... That's the holy grail of permissions to put online. Until Infrogames....I mean Atari gives Kevin Savetz permission to do so, he can't post any of them. It's the largest group of docs in existence on the 8-bits. There are a lot of Atari docs on the web already, but it's all unofficial. Hopefully somebody at 'Atari' will see the light and give permission one day. Shawn Jefferson #6 Posted May 21, 2003 Maybe this is the time to hit them up about releasing these old Atari docs? Timed with their recent change of company name, they may think it is advantageous... or not. The problem is probably talking to someone who has the authority to do it. Nukey Shay #7 Posted May 21, 2003 HUH?? I can understand Info...I mean Atari's stand on not releasing actual Roms to the public domain. But the documentation? Anyway, we've got text files to get info from

Anyway, we've got text files to get info from Well, the documentation is their property, just like the roms. A big problem, from what I understand from other people, is that the Tramels threw a lot of their records/info out. Allan
