Initial state of RAM?

We're having some odd results with the 2600/7800 detection routine for CDF. I seem to recall somebody wrote a program that showed the initial state of the 2600's RAM, but I'm not able to find it. Anybody else remember this program?

what about checklng the stack pointer after reset - it's different for 2600/7800: FF on 7800, FD on 2600

Hmm, that's an idea, will have to do some experiments to see if it'll work. The CDF driver takes a while to initialize itself so when flashed to the Harmony/Melody it first stalls out the 6507 by having it run a routine in zero page. The stall routine isn't used if run from the Harmony Menu as the spinning ying-yang does the same thing.
