Joystick Knob Replacement for Vectrex Controller?

Who have found a replacement knob for the Vectrex Controller?

• One that fits the shaft as a screw on replacement.
• One that will still allow the controller to be stored.
• One that matches well. Chrome. Black. Light Gray. In metal or plastic.
• Preferably, one that does not destroy or degrade another old controller. But hey, Vectrex before Atari! or Tandy.
• One that is reasonably priced. Reasonably being somewhat mutable based on what it is. newly machined knob with chrome / polishing will be more expensive than a 3D printed knob.

There's a discussion on the fb Vectrex Fans Unite group about making replacement knobs out of aluminum or plastic.

Use the stick from a TRS-80 Color Computer joystick. It uses the same pot/gimble assembly as the Vectrex controller. Perfect drop-in replacement, although the stick is longer so you won't be able to stow your controller in the face of the system anymore.

I actually have a contact at a metal factory, as I had the RF shielding for the N64 cartridges made. I will inquire about the cost of having these made

Reproduction Vectrex Controller Knobs Available!

CNC Milled. Include a threaded hole for use in screwing on the the Vectrex controller joystick shaft.

Replacements produced in a variety of materials and colors. Those most people will probably prefer the original look.

I can tell you from experience of my purchase of a Copper Vectrex controller knob that Tony's work is outstanding! Fits perfectly!

I was about to ask if there was anyone on the planet with a vectrex and a lathe as it would not be hard to reproduce (I have neither, working on getting a mini lathe though)

Nice! Very similar too what I made for a friend back in the early 80s. Mine had no thread though and had to be glued in place, but it worked. These though look much nicer.
