Darryl Still Atari Legend Interview

Recommended Posts

I'd like to know if the port of Graham Gooch Cricket referenced in the article is the (missing) Jag version.

I believe it refers to his time at Audiogenic and is the 8 bit game:

Audiogenic Software 1985-87.

Audiogenic, in those days had been a major player in the C64 market (Aztec Challenge etc), but had finance issues, so Supersoft bought 50% of the company. Biggest game before the BBC thing was The Graham Gooch Test Cricket title. Then with a name change to ASL the company bought Icon republished loads of their titles and signed up Partis, Scotty etc. Ran that studio.

Given that he follows that with ". Then at Atari....", I'd guess not but willing to be corrected.

This is the Jag forum, don't come 'round here with all that reading comprehension! A guy who knows a guy said a guy at EDGE Magazine said he knows the uncle of a guy who walks his dog that found a beta of Graham Gooch’s Test Cricket for Jag in his basement. It should be coming out shortly after the 10 player Bomberman.
