Is this the tall boot version of 5200 controller?

Found this for 99 cents at Salvation Army. The top row button does respond but the controller seems stuck going left so either a bad pot, loose wire, or broken plastic part.

Nice. Not bad for 99 cents. As for the question not sure. I hope somebody else chimes in.

the flex circuits contacts get cruddy or the wires can break you have to disassemble it to find out what is the problem

 

it takes a bit of care and luck to disasseble without damage i believe there are dissassembly guides

 

it may have been taken apart before and they did not connect the lower pot to the actuator plate

Took it apart, the pot wasn't connected to the plate. Now it works. BTW the flex circuit is rev 9 and seems to be working OK.

yeah it's the "tall boot" version

 

 

I think there was a thread or something about this as to the ideas on why these were different
