Ikari Warriors - No continues

so let me get this straight.. There's no option to continue on Ikari Warriors, not even plugging in controller 2 and starting a game there just before you die?

No "When the game ends hit.." - type thing?

Hadn't thought of this, I sIogged through the NES one years ago using the A B B A, but never even tried to finish the 7800 version.

There is no continue feature. Here's a playthrough on Intermediate (default) setting with 7 lives remaining at completion that may provided some demonstrative guidance:

[Note: There is an Advance and Expert setting for a greater challenge.]

 

If Intermediate is too difficult, the game can be set to Novice. If Novice is too tough, a slower pace advancing forward should help. There is no timer, no energy meter, and ample ammo provided. This one is more of a crawler than a 'running' game Commando approach.

 

It is very likely, a player that inches forward very slowly taking their time, especially under Novice, will beat the game with no continues necessary.

It isn't really all that hard, being honest ...

It is a run thru on novice dodging bullets. Easily beaten. May take a couple tries to get the hang of how the works and once down a run thru is possible.

This is one of my favorite games.
