Quite a trek from Calgary, tho :ponder:

Isn't JACE still around?

I was just joking with Bryan. I'm a permanent resident of the Bahamas, though (family still lives there), and routinely pass on through Golden Girls territory.

First Memo To Members:

Miami International Atari Users Group

Date: 5/22/03

To: Future Members

Cc: Other Interested Atari Age Members

From: Bryan Garcia & Jose Oliveras, Jr.

RE: Founding

Today is a good day for the Atari Community in Miami in May 22, 2003 the Miami International Users Group was founded by Bryan Garcia, with the help of Vice President Jose Oliveras, Jr. and friend David Sherwin this user group promises to be a good one. First come first a website will be created to inform current members about meeting times and locations and or other news regarding the user group. Upon entrance to this user group each member will be assigned a position and given a T-Shirt (while supplies last). The user group is free for all members of the Atari Age forum, others will have to pay a $5.00 joining fee. Family members of MIAUG members can sign up but will not receive a T-Shirt unless purchased. Meetings will occur periodically according to the schedule of Bryan Garcia, Jose Oliveras, Jr. and members. All in the Miami area can contact me at (305) 260-9937 from 3pm to 12am or on e-mail at [email protected] If you would like to speak to Jose Oliveras, Jr. please contact him in the Atari Age forums as AtariDude or contact me and I will be more than happy to give you his e-mail. Memos like these will be posted 3 times a week in the Atari Age forums under Classic Systems until our web site is created. Thank You for your interest in MIAUG and don’t be afraid to ask.

Sincerely,

Bryan Garcia & Jose Oliveras, Jr.

BG/JO

Sign me up. My family lives in Jupiter (I grew up there) and my wife's family lives in Kendall so we are in S. Florida several times a year.

Take care,

RG

Hey..

Great idea... I think I can help.. Care for a Calendar and Forum on My site?

Seeing as I'm in Jacksonville, FL and we are attempting the same thing up here.. It might be good to join forces now rather than later...

I think an an all-Florida Atari group would be a great idea! Bryan rejected my proposal for the group's name, though ("Florida Atari Group"). Can't think why... |:) :D
