Just wanted to update everyone that Bryan (A2600) and myself met for the first time today. We only got to talk about half an hour before Bryan had to leave due to prior committments.

Looking forward to the day when we start conducting regular meetings. :)

Just wanted to let everyone know that we are still seeking members for the group. So if you live in South Florida, just send us a message to let us know that you are interested in becoming a member.

We have already chosen a location for the event. But given the fact that the club has not yet held a meeting (Bryan was on vacation and only recently returned), we would need to have a few meetings to discuss such things as to when it would take place ( i would think Friday, Saturday, and Sunday), how much to charge people for the entrance, how much to charge the vendors, which vendors to invite (atariage of course would be at the top of the list) and other necessary things that we might need to consider before proceeding.

I for one would love to host it in December but I think it would be more realistic to hold it next year since I figure that such things take time to get everything together and prepared and allow enough time for people to make arrangements from outside South Florida to attend (not to mention trying to obtain some sort of package deals with local hotels in the area).

So first things first: We have to wait till Bryan gets settled in his new house, gets Internet re-established at his new house and hold several settings to discuss hosting such an event.

I just wanted to announce to everyone that we will be hosting our first meeting on Saturday September 13 at the West Dade Regional Library inside the lobby at 1 p.m. You will recognize us by looking for people wearing a gray T-shirt with the Atari Fuji symbol with Florida the state image (this is the official MIAUG logo).

We hope to see everyone there :)

I will be attending (I attend every meeting, Just In Case You Are Wondering) the meeting to greet both new and old members (old like the ones who signed up in may) and give them a warm welcom to our good organization.

I would like to take the time and thank Vice-President, Jose Olivea A.K.A AtariDude, also known to me as my right hand. Thanks for all the help and support you are putting into the group.

And for all those MIAUG is not a non-profit organizations (but, if you want something done its gonna cost you but thats dicussed before being put into play)

Thank You to both Jose and the Members of MIAUG

Sincerely

Bryan Garcia

Founder and President of MIAUG

PS. I am all settled and ready to discuss!
