Possible final release of Pole Position for the STE?

Been following this for awhile. This guy is incredible for what he has accomplished on the STE. Maybe this has already been discussed, but the possible final release came out recently. For those who haven't followed this, it's a near arcade perfect Pole Position for a 1MB Atari STE.

sigh... if only I had a Falcon :_(

I think it was on the facebook group page that someone recently posted that he had three Falcons in storage and was wondering if they'd need to be re-capped. Some people are terrible hoarders...

 

Of all people though, I'd think you'd get one! Support of the community and all that.

Looks great, and real close to the arcade version except for the tires not turning. Even the Atari 8-bit version makes an attempt to do this.

Well, nothing is perfect. But I agree, making some tyre rotate impression would not cost much CPU power.

More annoying from it is actually buggy displaying of side objects, mostly panels - talking about original arcade v.. They somehow shimmer, and not closing properly.

Atari ST v. acts same - well done code conversion. In jerky 8-bit v. it is not present because of larger skips.
