electronizer #1 Posted October 24, 2017 I have an XG-1 light gun with the side decal peeling off. Does anyone have a recommendation of a good glue to use to reattach it? I know some glues will cause wrinkling/react with the plastic poorly/etc.
Stefan Both #2 Posted October 24, 2017 I'd recommend double sided tape instead of glue. Stefan
electronizer #3 Posted October 24, 2017 I was thinking about that too...the XG-1 side decal is long and thin, and it will be difficult to glue it evenly without squeezing out excess glue along the sides.
_The Doctor__ #4 Posted October 28, 2017 I would use double sided crafter/scrap-bookers tape.... does a good job is extremely thin and is safe for paper even... no acid discoloration etc...
BigO #5 Posted October 28, 2017 I have an XG-1 light gun with the side decal peeling off. Does anyone have a recommendation of a good glue to use to reattach it? I know some glues will cause wrinkling/react with the plastic poorly/etc. Glue stick, surpsingly enough, works well for cartridge labels. It would probably work on the light gun decals as well. It doesn't cause wrinkling, a good "archival quality" one will be low acid so the paper won't decay. I first thought people were crazy when they suggested glue stick for cartridge labels, but I tried it on some worthless ones and found that it actually works. Search the forum pages here for several discussions on the subject.
