Recommended Posts

Hi All

I have been offered a snow bros cabinet for really cheap. My question is what can i do with it? I want to be able to play the classics like frogger etc and also Bubble bobble. These are from different eras, So i quess my question is what PCBS could be stuck into a Snow Bros machine?

That better not be my Snow Bros. :x

I have an Aunt that has one and I'v been eying it off for some time ;)

It's Jamma so you can't play classics like frogger on it.

But anything with a Jamma board should be O.k.

If you get it and want to sell the snow brothers board out of it, I may be interested :)

Anyways, here's a good site to check about info of just about any game

www.klov.com

As Happy dude said, it's a jamma cabinet so just about and jamma board will work. In your case the monitor is horizontal so vertical games will display sideways and aren't too fun to play that way :D Some button controller configurations are different too but you can usually accomidate for that

$150 is a sweet deal :D

The thing with Classic Arcade games is that their not standardised.

You need a cab with the specific harness for your particular pcb.

But if you get your hands on a manual you will be able to see the pinouts

and be able to wire it up to any cabinet ... if you know what your doing ...

You could always make it into a MAME cabinet :) . Check out www.arcadecontrols.com if you decide to do that.

Thanks again guys

The cabinet isnt a dedicated Snow Bros and is pretty standard, So i quess thats why no-ones bought it.

I have mame on the pc with almost all the roms hooked to the TV, also a huge 2 joystick 6 button each arace type controller.

Yeah, but it would be even cooler on a cabinet 8) . There's nothing wrong with not maming it though, you can do whatever you want to with it.

that happened to me....my uncle had a mspacman, one of the first ones where the side art was painted on, not a decal...it was in great shape cept for some control panel wear and a monitor that only came on sometimes...but you could hear the game was playing fine.

he told me he wasnt it wasnt in his way or anything, so i told him i would come and get it after the winter snow cleared up and he said OK. then i found it on ebay. me AND my dad were pissed.
