Adding a score system to Elektra Glide

Would it be possible to hack Elektra Glide in order to have the "score"/distance counter like in the C64 version? ►

It could be very cool to have such feature and include the game in the HSC.

Well, have a look at the code, e.g. with the Altirra debugger, try if you can find some hooks and add one. Unless that game is using the hardware full tilt, it should be possible.
