DCent #1 Posted October 27, 2017 At the moment I've been playing Lots of galactopus (trying to get good at the game), prehistoric times, I finally beat it and it just restarts over to get harder! also night driver which I never really cared for too much but I've been mastering the tracks as of lately. another game is demons to diamonds, I never understood how the game worked but I recently looked up the manual and it's actually fun. Circus Atari is a very simple but fun game. I also ordered conquest of mars and I want that zippy the porcupine game real bad too. I'm a new member but I used to post back here in 2012-2013 but I lost my info a long time ago so I made a new account. I started collecting in 2012 when my great grandpa (who used to code for his job) gave me his 2600 with about a dozen or so games and I was 14 and I hadn't really seen anything like these games that much before, I always played nes, snes, and Xbox 360 but I fell in love with the .95 cent games that are so basic and I would always bring my 2600 over to my friends houses or they'd come over and play and we'd play it all night. so that's just a little about me and how I fell in love with atari games
+KaeruYojimbo #2 Posted October 27, 2017 At the moment I've been playing Lots of galactopus (trying to get good at the game) Glad to hear that! Check out Ms. Galactopus when you have a chance. I've been playing a ton of Draconian and Space Cactus Canyon. Been on a bit of a HERO kick lately too.
RamrodHare #3 Posted October 27, 2017 There are quite a few homebrews that tend to keep my attention. The one that still gets played the most is Go Fish! Next is probably Wall Jump Ninja. I think part of the draw with those is being able to save my high scores on my save key. Pretty much any homebrew that works with the save key gets played more than the rest. kennetzel #5 Posted October 27, 2017 Mine is Missile Command. I know it's a poor version compared to the arcade version...but for some reason I keep getting back to it. I can play other games, but I always end with Missile Command. I had a friend who cracked a million on it, so I guess that's always been my goal. high voltage #6 Posted October 27, 2017 (edited) I'm playing and loving Steeplechase (Video Gems). First you have to get used to the fact that the difficulty switches work the other way around, A is normal, B is expert. 4 levels, and I am still trying to get the fastest time on level 1, but very exciting game....gotta get to level 2 hopefully soon. I think they have a trackball hack of it, but I'm just fine playing the regular 2600 version. I have no clue how your friend got 1 Million and I can't even crack 60,000. Enduro and Popeye Popeye is a real good game too. It's a tough one to find but i picked up a copy a year or 2 ago.
Harrison #13 Posted October 28, 2017 I've been experimenting with a lot of different joysticks and controllers lately and Missile Command is the game I use to test them, and when I try to do a quick test it sucks me in and I have to play at least a full game.
