leech #1 Posted October 27, 2017 I don't think we have one of these, so figured I would start one. Gauntle: moves smoother, veritically, but the screen shifts around when moving horizontally. Karateka: works as expected (too fast)
Gunstar #2 Posted October 27, 2017 (edited) Well, on Lotharek's site, if you scroll down to the bottom of the Rapidus description page, it shows Rescue on Fractalus running wonderfully, and I believe I have also seen a Youtube video of The Eidelon in action, assuming they didn't need hacking, not only are they compatible, but definitely appear to enhance frame rate and there bye playability on these "3D" games. I plan on getting a Rapidus soon, and I'm hoping that all the slow vector graphic games and simulators, like Flight Sim, Mercenary, F-15 Strike Eagle, Tomahawk and many others will greatly benefit from a speed increase. I've had some experience with acceleration with a Mega STe running @16Mhz with ST 8Mhz games, and most 3D vector/polygon games only improved, and also hybrid polygon/sprite games like Vroom! (F1) also were greatly improved. Edited October 27, 2017 by Gunstar
leech #3 Posted October 28, 2017 Yeah, agreed. I haven't tried them out myself so hadn't put them up there. I started my 16/32bit computer life with a Mega STe so I know very well the awesomeness of the few games that benefited from the 16Mhz CPU. I'll see about uploading some videos to Youtube or something for these too.
leech #4 Posted October 29, 2017 Now I need to see if I can find a copy of Eidelon that will work.. or an OS / settings mixture to do so...
