Nyuundere #1 Posted November 2, 2017 (edited) Hi, we're cleaning the laboratory and we found lots of 486 motherboards. Wonder if someone here wants one, cheap prices, just to save the motherboards ending on a trash can. The motherboards are not tested, they were stored in boxes and antistatic bags. ALL SOLD. Now I just have a Socket 2 Motherboard. Prices list: 1x Motherboard (Socket 2 Motherboard, with BIOS chip and Keyboard BIOS Chip. Untested, as-is, no guarantee) $20 USD (Shipping Included to USA, add +$6 USD shipping Worldwide) Minimal shipping cost is $18 for a small motherboard. $24 for a bigger one (because of size and weight). USPS and other postal services (17-21 days) If u want three motherboard or more will be $28 + shipping, and I can use Fedex/UPS/DHL/Estafeta ($45-$60 shipping cost depending of weight. More than less I need to check) Edited November 17, 2017 by Nyuundere

Mitkraft #5 Posted November 2, 2017 worst case stick em on ebay, they will move fast Is that right? Have these become desirable now? Might have to sell off mine although now I think its gotten to the point where I'd like to make sure I still have one good one left.
+splendidnut #6 Posted November 2, 2017 Wow, you have quite a few esoteric motherboards there. Looks like a few are missing the essential pieces (missing BIOS, riser boards, etc...)

Shawn #8 Posted November 3, 2017 Wow, you have quite a few esoteric motherboards there. Looks like a few are missing the essential pieces (missing BIOS, riser boards, etc...) Take the BIOS EPROM (or EEPROM), take the SRAM, smelt the rest.

Mitkraft #11 Posted November 6, 2017 Im curious, if you dont mind sharing, were they sold in a large batch/batches or just singles/couples? Congrats to you and the buyers for keeping these out of landfills!
Keatah #12 Posted November 6, 2017 I wonder if these have real or fake cache?
Shawn #13 Posted November 6, 2017 I wonder if these have real or fake cache? The cache is what I was talking about stripping for re-use. I'd assume it's all real on the major name brand boards.

Congrats to you and the buyers for keeping these out of landfills! 1 buyer, 1 payment c: it was a really good bargain. Get the last one, guys! 7-Eleven Stores don't sell 486 Motherboards aside of Chips.
