godslabrat #26 Posted November 10, 2017 The only thing I don't like is how tight the ends are that plug into the TV, they can actually pull the contacts out from the back. I've heard this before about various Monster cables, but don't know how widespread a problem it is. I'd be wary.
tbb033 #27 Posted December 1, 2017 Cheap component cables (like $10 multi system ones) have never given me a problem on anything running at anything lower than 1080p. At 1080p they may start ghosting and stuff, but fortunately any of my systems capable of 1080p is also capable of using plain old generic HDMI cables. Nebulon #28 Posted January 21, 2018 Well, I decided to try one of the cheap-o knock-offs. And you guys n' gals are correct -- the signal quality is crap. So your best bet is to stick to the original M$ video cables.
Osgeld #29 Posted January 21, 2018 (edited) dunno I got some just today and they are every bit as clear picture as the official one I have had for years (course no optical out, but I have never used that so no loss) shameless plug here but I just posted a system in the marketplace http://atariage.com/forums/topic/274572-fs-modded-og-xbox-250-gb-coin-ops-8-massive-hd-cable-gamepad/ those screenshots are me pointing a phone at a 50$ craig brand LCD TV, then shrinking the 20 megpixel image down to 1024x512 so the artifacting is actually the moire pattern of the image reduction from a phone picture of a LCD that's so cheap you can measure the pixel gap with a ruler lol Edited January 21, 2018 by Osgeld
