Best Printer for Custom Labels

Hey every, quick question. What is the best printer out there to make custom labels? Also, what is the best kind of paper/sticker/etc to use for custom labels? And are there templates to get the measurements down?

I have printed out the label on plain paper in colour.

 

After that I put a letter sized matte adhesive sheet in a colour copier (using manual feed tray) and make a colour copy.

 

In this way the colours don't smear. Then I just use scissors to cut the labels.
