Killjoyy27 #2 Posted December 13, 2017 They need to show me actual games and a controller first before I can buy into this thing, advertising real wood is not a sales pitch. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

+wongojack #13 Posted December 13, 2017 Pre-Order through IndieGogo - no way. Wait until the price drops to $59 and satisfy my curiosity, maybe.
+Nathan Strum #14 Posted December 13, 2017 I voted tacos. Because even if the Ataribox becomes real, it will never be tacos.
cybercylon #15 Posted December 13, 2017 Tacos for me too. The idea that they are calling it a pre-order is a joke.
+KaeruYojimbo #16 Posted December 13, 2017 No way I'm pre-ordering it. I'll pick one up at the local Goodwill maybe around September of next year.

zzip #18 Posted December 13, 2017 wait and see. if they release a cool product I'll buy. But I won't buy it blindly. Wait and see on the tacos too
Video #19 Posted December 13, 2017 Wait and see. Despite the other thread, I'm at least curious, and may be interested. But I'd like more solid info rather than the torrent of misinformation we currently have. Maybe there's already real info, but, uh...sorting that out... KevinMos3 #20 Posted December 13, 2017 The wait and see and what is an Ataribox are somewhat redundant. 😏
Inky #21 Posted December 13, 2017 wait and see. if they release a cool product I'll buy. But I won't buy it blindly. Wait and see on the tacos too Always consume tacos without waiting and seeing, lest the tacos get cold.
Skippy B. Coyote #22 Posted December 13, 2017 (edited) I went with "wait and see". I'm cautiously optimistic about the Ataribox's potential but at the end of the day software sells hardware and there hasn't been a single peep about what exclusive games (or new games period, for that matter) the Ataribox is going to have. Given the price range of the system the Ataribox will be competing with the Nintendo Switch for my new console money in 2018, so they're going to have to pull some seriously impressive looking rabbits out of their proverbial hats to get me to plunk down the cash for one. The Atari brand name only goes so far. In the meantime, at least AtGames is still producing some cool and very affordable products to get your Atari fix with new modern devices. At the moment the only thing we know the Ataribox will play is digital format 2600 games, and AtGames already has options for that (on the go no less) for about $260 cheaper. I still want to like the Ataribox but they've definitely got an uphill struggle ahead of them to create a quality game system that people will want to buy. Flojomojo #24 Posted December 13, 2017 I'm saving my response until after December 14th. I don't want to waste my vote on "wait and see" but I'm going to wait and see.
racerx #25 Posted December 14, 2017 Ouya II at best, Coleco Chameleon II at worst.Don't know how or why anyone could possibly be excited about a $60 Android/Linux box with a licensed Atari logo.
