I hope that's sarcasm on your part. It looks like it at least. Sure there are a lot of ranging quality on the things, but they really more or less just work or not unless they were defective assembly. I've never heard a bad thing said about the decades long gold standard which were/are the honeybee adapters. Maybe some cheaper chinese garbage have issues, so it's still a choice. I really doubt though a newly made one from now would be crap as they'd be called out for it online and not picked up except by the uninformed.

Yes there is a reason. 3rd party converters are not compatible with 100% of games.

The converters are remarkably simple in construction, theres very little you can do to screw one up.
