This pack contains a disk image in MyDos format with all Atari 8-bit releases
of SillyVenture 2k16. I felt theye deserve a good presentation, especially
the graphics and music releases for which no art pack/music disk exists.

It was released in wild compo of SillyVenture 2k17.

This pack comes with results viewer which also acts as a menu from where you
can directly start all releases and read the readmes.

The menu remains memory resident, so you don't have to load it again every
time. This makes watching the graphics entries and listening to the music
entries much more fun, especially on the real machine.
If you use loadable speeders, you have to use the memory area $500-$5ff.
For "SIO2SD TURBO" for example press "OPTION+START" at the boot screen.

These are the controls for the menu:
* Pressing any key while the menu is loading takes you to the DOS shell.
* Pressing RESET in the menu performs a cold start.
* Pressing RESET in while a release is running returns to menu, if possible.
* Further controls are displayed in the menu itself.

* Barszcz Sosnowskiego - Now works with BASIC enabled
* Bob Ross - Now has DOS run address segment.
* Firstro - Now performs cold start upon RESET instead of crash
and runs from DOS 2.5
* Fox Chase - Now runs from DOS 2.5
* Humptatari - Now runs from DOS 2.5
* Kaszanka Rabanka - Now works with BASIC enabled
* Mehcaster - Now has DOS run address segment.
* Noname - Now performs cold start upon RESET instead of crash
* Pang - Now works with BASIC enabled
* Prozac Dream - Now performs cold start upon RESET instead of crash
and runs from DOS 2.5
* Rock Dat Gabba - Now runs from DOS 2.5
* SentenceGeneratorPL - Now has DOS run address segment.
* The Wild Walker - Now runs from DOS 2.5
* Ucieczka z Tropikow - Now performs cold start upon RESET instead of crash,
runs from DOS 2.5 and turns screen off while loading
* UnMec - Now performs cold start upon RESET instead of crash
* Winter Is Coming - Now runs on real hardware from DOS 2.5

Thanks! Checking this out now. As always, I am seeing things and wondering "how the heck did they do that?!?"

 

For instance - the Party Train picture. It appears to be 6 shades of gray in hi-res. Clever use of PM/G underlay/overlay I guess.

That style and usage of raster splits (change the color/mode within on scanline) are the speciality of Rocky.
