Does anyone sell new paddle controllers?

Recommended Posts

Just curious, because I tried to take mine apart and clean them which helped, but they are still a bit difficult to use. Was hoping someone out there made new ones just like the joysticks which are easy to get new.

I know that AtGames that makes the Flashback consoles has sold new paddles a while back, and the Activision edition of the Flashback 8 comes with new paddles in the box.

I've got both the AtGames paddles and Best Electronics' "lifetime super pot" upgraded paddles. Of the two I think Best's are significantly better. Smooth as silk to operate and never a single iota of jitter. AtGames paddles are quite good, but they're a little stiff and still jitter a bit when rotated.

Yeah I read mixed reviews on the AtGames paddles. I emailed Best, going to buy two pairs of theirs mostly to use on live Twitch streaming of Atari 2600 gaming.

A lot of those bad reviews are actually reviewing the Flashback's support for paddles, which isn't very good - they're quite laggy, making games like Kaboom impossible to play. Plug those same AtGames paddles into a real 2600 and they work quite well.
