I've got multiple MBPs here... the kb is way better than the 400s. My main complaint is that it's to minimalistic missing things like Home, End, Delete etc. Some of these are covered by mutli-key combos but I CBF'd remembering that in addition to the million other things you need to remember about computers.

The vertical travel on the latest MBPs (the ones with the touch bar) is closing in on the 400's

 

I found them so uncomfortable that I bought a 2015 model before they were dropped.
