Shawn #2 Posted January 15, 2018 Just a plain old RP2C02 for a nes I am working on, not looking to spend a lot Thanks Could you pull one from a famicom? Might be cheaper.
Osgeld #3 Posted January 16, 2018 yea I could, not a big fan of killing one machine to fix another I am kind of surprised at the sheer lack of ppu's available on the market though, I can find arcade ones all day if I want to spend 100 bucks on a kinda junky nes heh
CPUWIZ #4 Posted January 16, 2018 I would hit up Kevin (kevtris), I am sure he has an extra or four sitting around.
Bratwurst #5 Posted January 17, 2018 Unfortunately to get a PPU you pretty much have to kill a 'good' system, you may as well consider them on the same tier of value as an intact NES or Famicom.
icemanxp300 #6 Posted January 17, 2018 I believe I have a spare junk system still I could pull one from. Since the system is a parts unit It is untested. I can look later on and if I have one pull it for you. Just shoot me some s/h charges. I could pull it out clean and quickly, w/my hakko so that's not a problem.
