Whizball was the last cart I needed and I ended up paying a bunch to get it. You just don’t see it anywhere so you got to grab it while you can. Looking at this, does this really mean that Fairchild/Zircon would actually number their demo carts as #51/#52? Is that the actual number? I didn't know that. Why not put them in the available number streak they had instead of starting all over at #50?
e5frog
It was the numbering in some leaflets/send outs.
Ashevent
Losing out on the last Pro football games worked in my favor. Last two went for $120 and $102 (guy outbid me 2 seconds before end, can't even hate, nice move). Got mine CIB for $81 just now, yes i'm sure someone will say " $81?! I got mine for $2!, It's not worth that!"..lol. But hey, it is what it is..hard to find and worth it to me! Im looking at it like I saved 20 to 40 bucks (at least thats how i'll sell it to the wife..lol) I realize i'll probably never complete the set but at least i'm a little bit closer to all the games from my first home console. Mikebloke
Fair enough, I can't remember what I paid for mine loose, probably 40 or 50 dollars converted. I would love to have a complete in box set, but with sellers who don't even post abroad I'm pretty stuck usually with European sellers. The import tax is like 25% as well, and it can really hit on big purchases. PS: I totally do the same wife telling tactics "this game goes for £300 normally, I saved hundreds!" ie £99. +atari2600land
Video Whizball and Casino Poker came today. They look amazing and play great, and a surprise was that Casino Poker came with instructions even though they weren't in the picture. (Video Whizball came with instructions as well.) I am confused though about Casino Poker and betting and all that. I guess I am so used to playing Video Poker I didn't need to actually bet at all. So now all I'm missing is 15, 19, 21, 22 and 24. But there's always the Multicart. I have also been meaning to ask why is #15 so rare and expensive?
e5frog
Now that you got those two cheap, you have more money to put on a #15 - but that should be possible to find at a good price as well... some time.

I'm happy for you to get casino poker so cheap and I'm very jealous, I feel like that one is going to evade me for awhile. 15 is a bit rare, I ended up with a SABA version which is probably listed under a different number before getting a regular fairchild version. Atari_Bill
I honestly have no idea why 15 is so rare, but it took me absolutely forever to find.
+atari2600land
There's a #15 on ebay right now but it's $220. I'm not paying that much.
e5frog
I've got spare #15 cart but only Luxor box (sticker on US version) and instructions. You just hold on and a complete one will probably show up.

e5frog
I could perhaps de-label the Luxor 15 box, no charge, postage will be enough.
masschamber
so 15 is rare now too, that's surprising, democart 1 just sold for like 75 dollars on ebay anyone need a white box cart 17? let me know,
e5frog
You mean the one advertised as untested but somehow deemed "non-working" for $76? Key word being non-working... or else it would probably have been a lot more expensive. Edited October 20, 2019 by e5frog
Blazing Lazers
#15 isn't rare in relation to other Channel F releases, just simply uncommon. Now yes, Channel F in general is rare compared to Atari in the wild, so even an uncommon Channel F game is rare in relation to other releases from the 70's. It was still sold in stores, by mail, and through dealers. Just keep watching Ebay and the odd Forum or social media "found in the wild" post. Ashevent
I pulled up sold eBay listings and then went to VGPC and sadly neither had even one #15 sold price listed, so who knows what it's theoretically worth now. I have to figure it's nowhere near the $220 some one is trying to get on eBay right now though. That's just holding a game hostage in my opinion. Absolutely. 15 isn't a 3 figure game, even in dollars.
e5frog
It may have been sold with other carts and unit, sometimes you need to purchase a bunch of extra stuff just to get one item in the lot (unless you enjoy waiting).

I could easily see it getting close to 100 though.
Ashevent
My apologies if this has been posted before and heck, I may have even but i didn't see it so thought id share. If you'd like to save a little wear and tear on Your fairchild box's. Japanese Gamecube double protectors fit nicely. Perfect all the way around except a little gap in the top. Not very expensive either, a 10 pack costs $15.00 after shipping. 1
e5frog
Should be great for the collection and if you have a Multi-Cart and don't need to play the real ones. Hardcore collectors use resin... Would have been fun to fake a Democart 2 and put it in a resin block...
