LambdaCalculus379
Every final Friday of every month, Digital Press in Clifton, NJ hosts NAVA events, usually centered around various themes. Their Facebook and Twitter feeds usually will announce NAVA events a week or two ahead of time so people can gear up and head out to them.

I definitely need to stop by and check out the C64 and Vic20 software! Oh I'm bummed I missed last month as it was AT Genesis, Atari Flashback , SNES mini. This month is Grand Theft Audio so I'll have to pass as not appropriate for my 7 year old. Hoping there is a kiddy RGP / cosplay day coming ( Pokeman, Yo-Kai Watch etc...) Vintage Computer Festival East -- Wall, NJ Long Island Retro Gaming Expo -- Garden City, NY Retro Video Game Day (every Friday) -- Grand Central Library -- NYPL Coleco Retro Gaming & Collectibles Expo @ NJ Convention and Exposition Center -- Edison, NY New Jersey Gamer Convention on July 7-8. I went 2 years ago and it was a very small con. Now it has been moved to the Crowne Plaza in Cherry Hill. I went to Monster Mania at the same venue years ago and it is a much better place to hold a con. A Video Game Con at the Meadowlands Exposition Center in Secaucus, NJ on September 15-16. I have never been to this Kickstarter funded convention. Seeing that it is now being held at a proper convention center I will be attending this year. LaserCat
The Digital Press is less than 2 hours away. Time to plan a road trip! Edited May 26, 2018 by LaserCat
+sramirez2008
I recommend visiting the Digital Press. They always cool stuff availble. Over the years, I’ve picked up several homebrews and a Harmony cart from them. Last time I was there, they had several Starplex controllers available for sale.
thetick1
Below is an update. I keep the old ones for a list for next year. Please comment on any ones I missed. Upcoming sorted by date: Brooklyn GeekFest 2.0 -- April 7th-8th Vintage Computer Festival East -- Wall, NJ - May 18th-20th Long Island Retro Gaming Expo -- Garden City, NY -- August 11th -12th -- "8-bit guy" and "The Immortal John Hancock" -- Woohoo! Weekly: Retro Video Game Day -- Grand Central Library -- NYPL -- every Friday Monthly: Digital Press hosts NAVA -- Clifton, NJ Defunct.. Rest in peace Good Riddance: Coleco Retro Gaming & Collectibles Expo @ NJ Convention and Exposition Center -- Edison, NY -- likely defunct as website is for sale. This event seriously sucked from what I read. The "Coleco" trademark owner is no friend of the Retro Gaming Community. MeatWithGravy
I'm hoping to attend the Long Island Retro Gaming Expo this year. I've never been to a con or an expo or anything of the sort. Wait! Not exactly true. I attended Pinfest in Allentown, PA back in 2016. Sadly, I didn't come home with a pinball machine.
