How can I use a tape/floppy drive on my TI-99/4A?

For the cassette tape a simple cable will do. For real floppy, your best bet is a peripheral expansion box but they're expensive and very heavy so be prepared to spend a lot for shipping.

But if you can live without using real floppy, then the upcoming TiPi may be more practical and less costly for you.

I have seen those tape/floppy drives that slot into the cartridge slot looking space on the side of the unit, but I have been having a hard time finding them on Ebay and when I do, they are always very expensive. Are there any other ways to do this?

Over the years we set up some information on our Wiki https://www.ninerpedia.org/. Maybe have a look there (does not mean your questions are not welcome here, of course :) )
