famicommander
I'm 27. Got my first Intellivision 8 years ago. But I grew up with classic systems. My parents and older brothers already had a 2600, NES, Game Boy, Game Gear, and Genesis before I was born and I grew up playing them. The first console I actually recall getting was the Saturn, which my parents bought for my two older brothers and me as our only Christmas gift. I was 4 and my brothers were 7 and 10, so they ended up getting to play the Saturn on the good TV most of the time while I played the old stuff on the little 13 inch TV with the clicking knobs we had in the basement. +wongojack
I'm 41, but I've been posting on AtariAge since I was . . . gulp . . . 27 I knew about Intellivision when I was young, but we didn't have one. I considered them to be about the same quality as the Atari 2600 but with different games. The Intellivision was the first system that I sought out (as an adult) that I had never owned. I was exactly the right age for the NES, but I had an older brother and he & his friends opened me up to games and music that I probably wouldn't have been into otherwise. My tastes have always been a little older than my age as a result. I do like the NES, but it doesn't really hold the same status for me as the older consoles and computers in terms of nostalgia. I'm always confused when some people have strong negative opinions against the Intellivision. From my memory it was really right there creating a foundation for gaming. There are so many great games for it - to overlook it is missing out on a big slice of gaming history. My intellivision collecting really sort of came together when I discovered a rare Atari item on Craigslist and traded it to CMart who loaded me down with a big selection of loose Inty carts (picked up a few since too). I'm not really in the 125 range, but I think I own every Inty game that I ever want to play.

The best estate sales are the ones where there aren't any pesky children checking Ebay on their smartphones as you haggle over the price.
GeekDragon
Just turned 46. Never played intellivision till last year(I now have a Intellivision 1 and 3, Intellivoice, and about 30 games). Knew about it forever and always wanted to play it, but we had a Atari 2600 in the house and played a ton of that(still do).
