Gregory DG #1 Posted May 29, 2003 Ouch... What would it take to hook up a 2600, 5200, or 7800 to an ST monitor? Does someone have a gizmo to convert RF to RGB?
+Mitch #2 Posted May 29, 2003 I have a PAL SCART 7800 with RGB output that works. They were sold in France. You could convert one to NTSC and then you'ld be set. Mitch
Han #3 Posted May 29, 2003 Doesn't the colour ST monitor have a composite video input? If it does you can just hook up your 2600 via a VHS machine and then connect the composite signal from the VHS to your ST monitor... Not much point trying to buy a RF to RGB converter. You wouldn’t really gain any picture quality, just waste your $$$
Gregory DG #4 Posted May 30, 2003 Doesn't the colour ST monitor have a composite video input? Nope. Not in an RCA style format anyway.

That's true, you would have to find the pin configuration for the monitor connector (probably available on the net somewhere) and build yourself a cable. Hmm... I am pretty certain I have the pin conf. noted somewhere, if I just could remeber where… But I dont know if the configuration was the same as on the Atari end. I think one pin was "twisted"...
