my80chevette
Working on rebuilding my Sega collection. Genesis and it's peripherals first. Next would be the Saturn then Dreamcast. Might throw the Game Gear in there somewhere as money permits.
+GoldenWheels
Atari 7800. Has the best home version of one of my favorite games (Joust), an active homebrew scene, AND it's fairly doable to "collect'em all" if you want to. TurboGrafx/PC Engine. Turbo was like a legend when I was a kid. Never knew ANYONE who had one. Never owned one myself. It became kind of my quest as an adult to finally get one. I was not disappointed, and the PCE huey library being available by just modding, and CDs being region free, kicks ass. NES. Because it's the NES. toiletunes
7800 is top of my list, and has been ever since I got my first console around 2003. Other than that, I've been trying the Odyssey2 recently. It's pretty interesting for what it is.

derFunkenstein
The Genesis easily. I was 6 in 1984, and my grandma bought an Atari 2600 post-crash for my sister and I, and I have countless hours logged on it. The NES was the first console I ever picked out for myself and got with my own money, and I certainly loved it. But neither held a candle to the Genesis. I didn't actually get one until it came bundled with Sonic 2 for $100 (fall of 1993 I think it was), but once I had it I was absolutely hooked. Not long after that I got a 6-button controller and Street Fighter II SCE. Then Sword of Vermilion and Altered Beast and Streets of Rage 2. Over the next four or five years I got a couple dozen games, mostly used games that video rental shops were selling as they fell out of favor. And then in 2001, I sold it all. I'd met the girl who would eventually be my wife not long before that, and I sold everything I had save for my Dreamcast so I could buy a nicer engagement ring for her. This summer, I started building a collection of consoles again. In the forefront of all that is a VA4 Genesis.
