I always wonder how people end up with disc only games.

 

My main experiences on this:

 

1) Unfortunately, working for Wal-Mart for 11 years, I've seen a lot of stolen games. That's why we went back to "behind the glass" displays. The person who stole it then run these games to GameStop and gets credit for them - merchandise is gone and GameStop doesn't ask questions. GameStop then sells them used with generic cases. OP buys them there since they're cheaper. Hell I do a lot of shopping at GameStop as well just because it is cheaper. I've had a lot of game only games in my collection over time because of Electronics Boutique and GameStop.

 

2) My step-daughter has a dog. He honestly is a great dog (and I am NOT a dog person at all). Very well behaved. But when he gets bored outside he digs up the yard. When he gets bored inside he chews stuff - Shoes, remotes, shoes, game cases, shoes, blankets... did I mention shoes?

disc only games usually come from people using large cd holder cases and throwing out the case.

Another reason- kids/younger siblings who don't know how to open a game case & destroy it in the process. Babysat for a kid who mistook the plastic holding the artwork for shrinkwrap a time or two and ripped the case in half as a result.

Another reason- kids/younger siblings who don't know how to open a game case & destroy it in the process. Babysat for a kid who mistook the plastic holding the artwork for shrinkwrap a time or two and ripped the case in half as a result.

I just cringed severely.
