Shawn #2 Posted February 16, 2018 I'm curious why you didn't go with 7800 shells instead? Could have had a much wider interest that way. You would have been covering 2 markets at the same time with one product.
+save2600 #3 Posted February 16, 2018 ...sans the two completely unnecessary cut outs toward the edge connector of course. I hate, hate, hate 7800 shells for this reason. Exposed adhesive promotes peeling, collects dust, lint and hair and if you're a fat fingered clod, end up with divets or punctures before long. Your new 2600 shells look awesome by the way! Would be nice if the homebrews here included them.

Same, I'm not a big fan of the 7800 shells at all for that very reason. Plus, they are more brittle than 2600 shells, and Atari continued to use molds even after they had developed cracks and other imperfections, so many of the carts have surface defects where you apply the main label. ..Al

The VGWIZ shells of old where not a perfect solution but his design was a lot better than that of Atari.
MortoffGames #7 Posted February 17, 2018 I am a purist and re-made the Atari 2600 shells as designed. I have Atari 5200 shells coming next and if people need them I can have Atari 7200 shells made as well.

SiLic0ne t0aD #10 Posted February 17, 2019 Are any clear shells going to made? I'm sure there would be a pretty big market for them. I'd really love to rehouse my Harmony cart in one for starters.
