I remove the plastic and metal domes, clean the board, mount the tactile switches precisely for proper click, and modify the plastic joystick and fire button for proper click. I will have to weight again but I think they are over 8 ounces. The only thing that gets removed are the domes and plastic holding them down. The inner plastic core has to be grinded down on the points that would normally press against the domes as the tactile switches sit higher than the domes do. Unfortunately, the postage is pretty high. If you do make more and have them next pay day (beginning of March), I'd be happy to take one (or two if my partner doesn't kill me!).
