Xot #1 Posted May 30, 2003 Picked up a box full of Nintendo Power magazines today - for FREE. Must be at least 40 in the box, going at least as far back as having Mega Man 2 on the cover; also some "Top Secret" guides and a foil-cover Mega Man X issue. They're all in great shape, too, like they were taken care of by an adult. I'm quite pleased. Can't wait to peruse them all. Nice to finally turn up something good on the yard sale trail for a change. Also picked up a Patriots Super Bowl DVD for a buck.
Brad2600 #2 Posted May 30, 2003 Where did you go yard saling? I would go myself in this area but I'm cash strapped. Do you know if the flea market in Stowe has video games? I need to get down there sometime to look.
Xot #3 Posted May 30, 2003 Where did you go yard saling? I would go myself in this area but I'm cash strapped. Do you know if the flea market in Stowe has video games? I need to get down there sometime to look. Just in Barre/East Barre. No place special, I just stop as I see 'em. Haven't ever been to the Stowe flea market. Kind of a long trip for a "maybe," you know?
Raijin Z #4 Posted May 30, 2003 All of the yard sales near me are old people's crap, and what little stuff I do manage to locate and want is already sold, or not for sale. >_
MegaManFan #5 Posted May 31, 2003 I think you already know what I'm going to ask.. Care to sell me the Mega Man issues?

King Atari #7 Posted May 31, 2003 Nice find there! Wait on a li'l yard sale hunt myself today. Picked up one of those public candy dispensers you find at the grocery store. You know, the kind you put 25 cents in. Only $10, has the key and works. Oh, and an old twisted 7-Up bottle for 50 cents . No video games, but I'm happy. Xot #8 Posted May 31, 2003 I honestly haven't decided if I'm going to sell or trade them at all yet. I have to go through them, see how "nostalgic" they make me feel, and then decide. I haven't been a big magazine collector until now, though, so I'd say the odds are in your favor. I saw at least four issues with Mega Man games on the cover - Mega Man 2, Mega Man 3, Mega Man in Dr. Wily's Revenge and Mega Man X. There was also a "design your own boss" section in one of them. Anyways, I'll keep you in mind. You'll be the first to know.
Brad2600 #9 Posted May 31, 2003 There are lawn sales in this area but I rarely stop at them. I need to do so though it's not like I can buy a shitload of games cuz I can't for a while.
Geeknout #10 Posted May 31, 2003 I havent been yard-saleing yet, but may try this summer. Two years ago, Long before my garage was taken over by game stuff, my father-in-law boxed my wife's Atari 2600 (6 switch) along with about 15 games in his yard sale. He was asking $5 for all of it (He probably would have given it away at the first sign of interest). I called her father the week after he had the yard sale (when my wife told me) and thankfully nobody bought it. I gladly picked up the Atari "junk". So I guess its worthwhile to check them out.
