+remowilliams
minipro_setup685 told me my 866A might be a fake (even though it meets none of the visible criteria they show, down to the PCB markings). It just asked if I'd like to view this info and be reminded about it in the future.

Mine also did that when I made the final update, but it has been working well for me too.

atrax27407
Also, there have been intermittent problems accessing the update site for the past week or so.
atrax27407
Still having intermittent problems with both the main site and the update site
atrax27407
I wonder if they are still in business. I have been getting this for the past several days.
Keatah
Working fine. So is the download page http://forums.xgecu.com/viewthread.php?tid=20&page=1&extra=#pid23
+Ksarul
I just downloaded it from the forum links too. . .looks like it may be another Norton issue, @atrax27407, as that one has bitten you before.
atrax27407
Norton says it is a "safe" website so I don't think that is the issue. I get a "website not responding" (i.e., timing out) message. It is the same whether I go through the main site or the forum. Fritz442
Me too atrax, I get the same timed out message(and have for awhile now), I've tried IE, Edge and Chrome. On two different machines. Fritz442
OK, I tried Lee's solution with no success. The link to the forums in post #260 would not work. So just now I retried and both the forum link and the 'Update on line' menu item both work! I didn't change anything in the last couple of hours?...and I have not been able to get to the site in about 2 weeks. LOL
atrax27407
Same here. I just got through as well. It definitely must be some sort of intermittent fault with their site.
atrax27407
It appears that the problems with the site has been resolved - at least temporarily. I have been able to get through easily for the past few days.

atrax27407
XGecu has an online eBay store at https://www.ebay.com/str/xgecuofficialstore BTW, the accessories for the TL866II+ will generally also work on the TL866CS/A as well. +Ksarul
Rooting through the documentation for the T56 turned up an interesting thing today: it is capable of programming up to 25V parts. This is perfect for older 27-series parts, but unfortunately they still don't support 25-series stuff. . . This programmer will program any EPROM/Flash chip used in the various cartridge boards (even the 27C160 and its flash work-alikes from Macronix) and the ATMEGA 1284P. I may have to add one of these to my Eprommer collection. . .and test it with my MBM27C4000 adapters.
atrax27407
There really aren't a lot of 25-series chips that apply to the TI. While the TMS2532 is nominally a 25V chip, it programs very nicely at 21V which leads me to believe that the TMS2532 (25V) and TMS2532A (21V) are actually the same chip. They both program at 21V as to the Motorola and Hitachi variants. The older 27-series chips are, in the main, programmable at 21V. In fact, some are even 12.5V chips. I'm quite satisfied with my TL866CS for the present.

Keatah
Do you know if they made any major changes to how the software looks or operates for v11?
atrax27407
It looks like they added a bunch of chips (mainly for the T56) and fixed an unspecified bug. 1
