Over in another post, I mentioned the Rampage and Joust shirts at Wal-Mart, and this Atari one was between the two stacks. I suspect a Ready Player One tie-in.

I like the look, almost to the point that I wish I didn't have such a hate-on for modern "Atari."

 

At that price, they're probably a nasty polyester blend, right? ("those grapes are probably sour anyway")

Yes, I physically encountered these, and apparently just after the shelves had been stocked.

I seem to remember seeing the rainbow Fuji in a lot of different applications. I've actually been using it on my Twitter account for many years.

I just realized some of you may not be ultra familiar with the rainbow Fuji because it was used mostly with the XL home computer line.

I checked my local Wal-Mart. Just got in a fresh stack. I bought a couple. One for me and one for a gift. Very cool tee (and it's the softer ringspun cotton). Gotta say, it's pretty awesome to still be able to buy Atari products in a brick and mortar 40 years later and counting.

Atari shirts I have picked up over the years...

 

Atarian - this is for the Atarian Club, so I think this shirt is from 1989. It's an original I got with the membership kit.

 

Atari Interactive - these are both from 2000

 

Atari logo - picked this one up around Xmas one year, maybe back in 2000 as well

 

Atari Represent. - forgot where I got this one, but it's Atari Interactive (so after 2003...maybe late 2000s?)

 

Atari Flashback - if you pre-ordered a Flashback 2+, you got this shirt, so 2010

 

Atari Entertainment Technologies - I got the grey one first, in 2011, followed by the black one, and then a couple of years ago I picked up the blue one (unlicensed) at Five Below

 

Atari - Japanese katakana, from GameStop Xmas 2016

 

Atari - American flag fuji, this was a $1.99 promo t-shirt at GameStop on Black Friday 2016

 

Atari circle logo - another Black Friday release, this time at Target for 2017, and you can still get them currently; this logo was introduced several years ago by one of the modern incarnations of the company

I was an Atari kid, I wish I had a picture of it handy, but my mom ordered me a silver Atari jacket back around 1982 or so. I wore that thing all the time but then it was stolen from me in 1st grade or so from the jacket rack in my classroom.

 

I had a Missile Command and Centipede shirt too back around the same time period.
