CJ told me if you get your request in at exactly 12:30 AM March 16th, 2018, he will work his magic to whip up your first pick. Otherwise, I just see it as people being psyched to see these ports being done for the system.

The thread was posted for fun, so people can discuss any favorite games they wish would appear on Jaguar. It wasn’t posted to be a request thread to pester CJ or those involved in the porting project. It’s the same concept as the, ‘What Atari Jaguar Games Should Have Come Out on Other Consoles?’ thread. It’s all hyperthetical, and it should have been pretty obvious it was from the start.

 

And thank you for making me aware of CJ’s distain for port requests. I had no intentions of contacting him about about any (possible) ports, but it’s good information to know.

It's good to see people enthusiastic about these, and I'm happy for people to point out things that might make a good conversion, however, there is a giant sticky thread at the top of this forum for such discussion

 

Multiple suggestions are fine, but it's not like I can just take one game, click some 'magic make work' scripts and whoosh! New Jaguar Game! These take many, many hours to get working and tune, it is not emulation, where you simply drop a ROM in and it works because the system is emulated.

 

Anyway, someone please lock this thread so it can die and drift downwards into obscurity and please continue in the other sticky thread if you so desire, just understand a suggestion may, or may not, get listened to. Make no promises, raise no expectations.

Sorry, now you can't. The first rule of being on the pre-release list is "don't talk about the pre-release list".

I think it's great that CJ allows the pre-listers to name a game, he'll put them all in a hat and each week he'll draw a winner, port their game and send them CIB copies. Last week's port of Mass Effect was pretty crazy.

No headache here man, I'm usually just goofin' around, unless someone starts actin' like a jerk. The community here seems to be torn between new excitement and general enthusiasm, then the other side that's tired of hearing about unresearched "truths" and people speculating what ifs.

The general rule is, if you pluck up the courage to post *anything* in a Jaguar forum, you're 99.9% likely to have someone, somewhere, reaching for the paracetamol. A lot of them take these things far too seriously.

 

As long as your posts are genuine, positive and productive, as your clearly was intended to be, then good stuff. Never apologise for being a decent person trying to enjoy positive discourse concerning a hobby they enjoy just 'cause grumpy old twit sat behind a monitor might have an excuse to grumble! And hey, something good came from this thread for me, I got a little Thundercats black screen music demo out of it, so I appreciate your thread most than anyone
