Basically what happened is that my dad wanted to convert a Q-Bert into a Tutankham cartridge. And it was a success! It actually worked! I guess Q-Bert fell down too far. . .

I had a lot of fun modifying this case to allow an UberGROM board to reside in it. It was also quite a bit of work to peel it open without doing damage to the case. The labels I had printed up for these came out pretty nice, although I should have made them a little bit larger.

 

As seen by the attached pictures, a lot of stuff had to be modified inside the case to get the UberGROM board to fit. There are a few bits near corners that had to be adjusted beyond what is in these pictures, but the major details are all visible here. Beyond this point, it is just some careful filing at some of the inside corners to make enough room for the UberGROM to sit flush in its slot and to allow the board to sit centered in the cartridge slot.

Poor Q*Bert... you didn't have a Frogger cart laying around to sacrifice instead?

Well actually I dont even know if I had a Frogger laying around, and I dont even think the Q*Bert cartridge even worked.

 

And now there are 4 Parker Brothers cartridges that are finished.

Actually, this was a Q-Bert cart that I bought specifically because most of the label was gone, but the case looked nice. I do have duplicates of Frogger and Popeye, but they have good labels, so they weren't shell donor candidates.
