SIO2PC to Cassette drive? 410

Recommended Posts

I've got a SIO2PC serial version. Is there a way I can use this to create tapes to boot from my cassette drive?

I'm kind of a noob on these atari 8 bit computers.

Basically you need to use some cassette to cassette copier,or a binary(xex) to cassette regular copier software and use your sio2** to emulate the source diskdrive.

Since I am Chilean, during the 80s I used to get TurboSoft cassettes which featured an amazing loader: you can play a pong clone while waiting for the main game to load. It also allowed you to go back few counter numbers if an error occurred, instead of starting from scratch.

Few months ago, the copier from Turbo Software was uploaded here, I tried with Montezuma revenge and it worked great, especially the error recovery feature.

I really recommend it.
