+OLD CS1
Found over on EAB, a great interview with Ton Roosendaal concerning the history of Blender and how it began on an Amiga 2000 -- in GFABasic, no less! (My favorite BASIC.) Check it out here and also check out the free download of Traces, the original program.
Sinphaltimus
I've been playing with traces since that article hit the net. It's pretty fast but without documentation is extremely hard to figure out. My hope is that someone will recompile it for for vampire and actually document some of it's usage and such. Nebulon
There's a pretty neat photo floating around of the creator of Blender and the creators of LightWave Layout and LW3D Modeler hanging out together.

I made a Traces Tutorial a while ago, if you're interested. ? Traces Tutorial - Blender Bach
